3rd Period: Continue to work on reading the draft resolutions and modifying them as needed (email final versions to Mr. Chiego by Midnight). Be prepared to quickly respond to some crises as well in class.
5th Period: Make sure your directives responding to crises are in writing and emailed to Mr. Chiego by midnight tonight. Also email him the updated draft resolutions for voting on them tomorrow.
African Union NEWSFLASH updates:
- Ebola outbreak spreads from Guinea to neighboring countries; hospitals are reported to be overrun with patients or abandoned
- Pirates attack the Niger River delta, capturing an oil tanker and platform and cutting oil pipelines. The cost of gas rises immensely.
- Three major Islamist terrorist groups--Boko Haram, Al-Shabaab, and Al Qaeda in the Islamic Mahgreb--have announced a plan for a united series of operations in the future.
